ANNOUNCEMENTS 🦃 H A P P Y T H A N K S G I V I N G! 🦃 ► We have a short 4-week Advent season this year, so we will be singing more Christmas music starting this Sunday, December 01, 2024, which is the first Sunday of Advent. We will also be lighting the Advent wreath. 🕯️ 🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️
Scriptures for This Sunday: Jeremiah 33:14-16, Psalm 25:1-10, and 1 Thessalonians3:9-13, Romans 1:4-6, Isaiah 40:3-5 and Luke 21:25-36. ► Pastor Deborah spoke with Bunny Howe on Monday. Her surgery, while it had complications, went well and she is still recovering in Fargo, but may be transferring to physics rehabilitation soon.
Pastor Deborah also spoke with Jack Spangenburg on Monday. He says he is recovering with the shingles medicine, sounds in good spirits. Please pray for both of these good people as they recover.
The BMW Christmas Brunch will be held on Wednesday, December 18, at the Bemidji Town and Country Club. We will gather at 9:30. Serving from 9:45 until 10:00. The menu is: scrambled eggs with cheese; bacon & sausage; fresh fruit; breakfast potatoes; muffins & rolls; and coffee and tea. The cost is $20 per person. Payment is required at the time you sign up. The sign-up sheet will be available on Sundays at church or contact Deanna Nichols at 218-444-8081. This year we are extending an invitation to the men of the church. Guests are welcome. ► Darren Kimble is currently working on remodeling lounge kitchen. He is donating time and labor for this project and will submit a bill for materials. Thank you, Darren, and to your wonderful wife Nellie as well. ► Rick Parkos is working on fixing our Little Free Library. Thank you Rick! ► Church Council voted to accept Jeff Anderson as Treasurer of Bemidji United Methodist Church. In this role, he will have signatory powers, safety deposit box, CDs and bank accounts. Motion passed. Dave Dahlberg is stepping down from some of the duties but will still be involved. Thank you, Jeff!
Church Council will meet next December 17, 2024. David Swenson will give the Audit report. Members are welcome to attend!
Thank you to Dennis Thompson for coming in on his birthday Monday and cleaning out the Lounge Kitchen refrigerator. Deborah came in on her day off and helped him. Dennis was able to take all the food out to the garbage for us. In moving the fridge to get ready for construction, somehow it was unplugged, and we lost all the food in it. 🥲

Order forms are in the hallway outside the Sanctuary doors. Finance is still working on the 2025 budget. Please turn in your pledge cards. There are extra blue 2025 pledge sheets located as you walk into the sanctuary. This helps the committee look and prepare for expenses in 2025. Thank you!
